HumAInity Corporation (“HumAInity,” “we,” “us”) builds AI that extends the reach of community health workers, care teams, and the professionals who support patients. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in two different contexts, which are governed differently:
- This website — humainity.ai and related pages, where we describe the company and invite organizations to work with us. This policy governs that site.
- HumAInity services deployed with a partner — conversational engagement programs configured and operated for a health plan, health system, public agency, or community organization. Information processed in that context is handled under our agreement with that organization and its own privacy notices, as described in “Health information and HIPAA” below.
02Information we collect through this website
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, organization, role, email address, area of interest, and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our analytics providers collect limited technical data when you visit — such as IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and the pages you view — using cookies and similar technologies.
We do not ask you to submit protected health information (PHI) or other sensitive personal information through this website, and you should not do so.
03How we use website information
We use the information above to respond to your inquiry, evaluate and pursue potential partnerships and pilots, operate and improve the website, understand aggregate usage, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
Our legal bases, where applicable, are our legitimate interest in operating and growing the business, taking steps at your request before entering an agreement, your consent (for non-essential cookies), and compliance with law.
04Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work, and analytics cookies to measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we present a cookie choice on your first visit. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
05How we share information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers who host our site, deliver email, and provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing services to us.
- Professional advisors such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers, where reasonably necessary.
- Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- Legal and safety — where we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of our services.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
06Data retention
We keep website inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and to manage our relationship with you or your organization, and then for a reasonable period consistent with our legal and record-keeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.
07Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
08Your California privacy rights
HumAInity is based in California, and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, applies to California residents. Subject to verification and legal exceptions, you have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients.
- Delete personal information we have collected from you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out.
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request against information we hold. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of authorization. Residents of other U.S. states and countries may have comparable rights and can contact us the same way.
09Do not sell or share my personal information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. No opt-out is necessary, but you may still contact us with any questions about this.
10AI transparency
In any HumAInity-powered experience, people are told when they are interacting with AI and are always given a route to a human. HumAInity is designed as a supervised extender operating within defined roles and escalation pathways — not as a substitute for licensed professional judgment. Our approach to oversight, escalation, and governance is described on our Responsible AI page.
11Health information and HIPAA
This website does not process protected health information. When HumAInity operates a program for a covered entity or its business associate, HumAInity acts as a business associate under a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, and PHI is processed only as permitted by that agreement and the partner organization’s Notice of Privacy Practices. Individuals in those programs should refer to the notice provided by the organization delivering their care.
12Children’s privacy
This website is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site. HumAInity services that support programs serving minors operate only under the direction of the partner organization and with the consents that program requires.
13International users and data location
HumAInity is based in the United States and processes website information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
14Third-party links
This site may link to third-party websites and resources. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
15Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will revise the effective date below, and where changes are material we will take additional steps as required.
